Here is the weekly review of the top performing Toreros alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Marcellus Earlington, a 6'6'' forward who graduated from San Diego in 2023 and received the All-WCC Second Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Israel. In a recent game, he led Ironi Nahariya to a thrilling 114-108 victory over the fifth-ranked M. Ashdod in the Israeli National League, showcasing his skills and talent on the court. With an impressive stat line of 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in just 37 minutes of play, Earlington was named the MVP of the game. This remarkable performance is even more impressive considering it is only his third season in professional basketball. Ironi Nahariya, currently placed third in the Play-Off group with a record of 23-7, is benefitting greatly from Earlington's contributions in his first year with the team. Throughout the season, Earlington has been consistently delivering high-level performances, averaging 23.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. His exceptional skills and dedication to the game truly highlight why he is a champion.

#2. Puerto Rican Isaiah Pineiro, a 31-year-old 6'7'' small forward and a Toreros alumnus from 2019, currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico. Recently, he showcased his talent by leading Cangrejeros de Santurce to a thrilling 95-92 victory over the league-leaders Atleticos. Pineiro's exceptional performance included a double-double, with 11 points and 10 rebounds, along with 3 assists in 32 minutes of play. This victory marked the fifth consecutive win for Cangrejeros de Santurce, placing them fifth in Group B standings. Despite this being Pineiro's first season with the team, he has been making a significant impact with his average of 11.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. His standout display in the game against San German not only helped secure the win but also highlighted his instrumental role in leading his team to success as the finalist.

#3. In a thrilling match on Saturday night, Tyler Williams, a 6'5'' guard at 29 years old who graduated from San Diego in 2019 and currently plays professionally in Australia, played a crucial role in the Northside Wizards' triumph over the tenth-ranked Rockets with a score of 112-95 in the Australian NBL One, the second division league. Williams exhibited an exceptional performance, scoring an impressive 29 points, securing 4 rebounds, and providing 5 assists during his 39 minutes on the court. This standout display of talent and leadership not only led his team to victory but also solidified his reputation as a true champion. The Northside Wizards, currently placed ninth in the North group, are benefitting from Williams' first season with the team. Throughout the season, Williams has maintained high statistics, averaging 23.8 points per game, 4.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. His remarkable individual performance further cements his status as a finalist in the league, showcasing his exceptional skills and valuable contributions to the team's success.

#4. Bradley Ezewiro, a 6'9'' forward aged 23, is a Toreros alumni from the class of 2026 currently playing professionally in the Dominican Republic. In a recent game, Ezewiro, despite his best efforts, could not lead his team, the Soles with a 2-14 record, to victory against the Titanes who are 8-8 in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto. He contributed 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in 21 minutes of play, but unfortunately, the bottom-ranked Soles suffered a 94-79 defeat at the hands of the fifth-ranked Titanes. This loss marked the seventh consecutive defeat for the struggling Soles, whose Regular Season has already concluded. The champion, Ezewiro, maintained his solid season averages of 9.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. Despite his impressive individual performance in the game against the Titanes, his team ultimately fell short of a victory.
