Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Lady Monarchs players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Carolina Bernardeco (5'6''-PG-1997, played in 2015-18, plays pro in Spain) was the major contributor in Arxil's victory against the fourth-ranked Coruna (6-2) crushing them 80-56 in the Spanish LF2 (third division) in Saturday night's game. She recorded 13 points and added 4 assists in 23 minutes. It was her first game for Arxil this season. Her team is placed sixth in Group A. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
#2. Stella Reichert (6'2''-F-2001, played in 2019-20, plays in Spain) led Adareva to a victory over the closely-ranked Ardoi (7-2) 64-55 in the Spanish LF Challenge (second division) last Saturday. Reichert was MVP of the game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 15 rebounds. Reichert also added 2 blocks; quite an impressive performance considering it's only her third season in pro basketball. Vega Lagunera Adareva Tenerife (5-3) is placed fifth in the LF Challenge. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Reichert's first year with the team. Reichert has relatively good stats this season 14.4ppg, 10.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3bpg.
#3. Taylor Edwards (5'8''-G, played in 2016-20, currently in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL (second division) could not help Botas GA (5-5) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Botas GA lost 62-68 at home to the second-ranked Zonguldak. Edwards was the second best scorer with 15 points. She also added 5 rebounds and 6 assists in 31 minutes. It was Botas GA's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Edwards' team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Edwards' first season with the team. She has individually a very good year with high stats. Edwards averages 15.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.7apg and 2.4spg in 10 games she played so far.
