#1. Experienced champion Emmanuel Andujar, a 6'6'' forward who is 33 years old and graduated from Manhattan in 2015 after helping them win the MAAC Tournament that year, currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico. Despite his best efforts, Andujar could not lead Capitanes de Arecibo (14-5) to a victory over Cangrejeros (10-12) in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. In the game, Andujar scored 7 points and secured 4 rebounds in just 16 minutes of play. The second-ranked Capitanes de Arecibo suffered an 83-87 defeat on the road against the fifth-ranked Cangrejeros in Group A, where Andujar is playing in his first season with the team. Despite a commendable performance in a game against Santurce, where he contributed 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist, Andujar's team was unable to secure the win. Throughout this season, Andujar has been averaging 6.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in the 10 games he has played so far. It is also noteworthy that Andujar holds both American and Puerto Rican citizenship, allowing him to compete in Puerto Rico as a domestic player.
#2. Israeli Raziel Hayun, a 24-year-old guard standing at 6'4'' and an alumnus of Jaspers from 2024, currently playing professionally in Israel, played a key role in Maccabi Haifa's recent triumph over the second-ranked M.Petah Tikva with a final score of 80-68 in the Israeli National League, which is the second division of Israeli basketball. In this game held on Sunday night, Hayun showcased his skills by contributing 9 points and securing 4 rebounds during his 27 minutes on the court. Maccabi Haifa, with a record of 9-21, holds the fifth position in the Play-Out group. Hayun's team has been on a winning streak, achieving their third consecutive victory. With only one more game left in the Play-Out Round, the upcoming match will be of utmost importance. This marks Hayun's debut season with the team, and his stellar performance in the recent game against M. Petah Tikva highlights his potential as a champion. Scoring crucial points and making key plays, Hayun demonstrated the qualities of a true finalist, helping his team secure the win. Throughout the current season, Hayun has maintained an average of 3.4 points per game and 1.6 rebounds per game across 25 appearances. His consistent contributions on the court have been instrumental in the team's performance, showcasing his dedication and talent as a player.
#3. Zane Waterman, a 6'8'' forward who graduated from Manhattan in 2018, currently plays professionally in Lithuania. Despite only scoring 3 points in 6 minutes during a recent game, he made a significant impact by providing 1 assist in a crucial victory for Neptunas Klaipeda. In a dominant 100-73 win against Gargzdu, a closely-ranked opponent, Waterman's contribution helped his team secure the win and emerge as the champion. Neptunas Klaipeda, currently placed third in the league with a record of 17-15, broke a streak of five consecutive losses with this important victory.
