Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Tigers players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Cameron Christon (6'6''-F-1999, played in 2019-23, plays pro in Mexico) led Rayos de Hermosillo to an easy victory against the league outsider Frayles de Guasave (5-15) crushing them 100-74 in the Mexican CIBACOPA in Wednesday night's game. He scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 28 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Christon's second season in pro basketball. Rayos de Hermosillo (7-13) is placed second from the bottom (#9) in the CIBACOPA. Christon has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.4apg in 18 games he played so far.
#2. Danya Kingsby (6'1''-G-1998, played in 2021-22, plays in Georgia) led Delta to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Iverioni (11-9) 94-92 in the Georgian Superleague last Monday. Kingsby scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Delta Gurjaani (9-11) is placed seventh in the Superleague. The Regular Season already ended. It's Kingsby's first year with the team. Kingsby has relatively good stats this season 13.8ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.5apg and 1.2spg.
#3. Tra'Michael Moton (6'1''-G, played in 2019-24, currently in United Kingdom) led Hemel Storm to a victory over the eighth-ranked Hurricanes (10-14) 95-78 in the British NBL D1 (second division) on Saturday night. Moton was MVP of the game. He recorded 23 points and added 3 assists in 25 minutes. Hemel Storm (19-5) is placed first in the NBL D1. Moton has relatively good stats this year 14.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.2apg and 1.6spg in 25 games.
#4. Jourdan Smith (6'7''-G/F-2000, played in 2022-24, plays pro in Australia). He could not help Norwood Flames (0-3) to beat Bearcats (2-1) in the Australian NBL One (second division). Smith's contribution was not very remarkable in Friday's game. He scored only 2 points. The ninth-placed Norwood Flames (0-3) were badly defeated83-66 on the road by the higher-ranked Bearcats (#4) in the Central group. So far Norwood Flames lost all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Smith averages 5.3ppg and 2.3rpg.
