Stephanie Mavunga

CCC Polkowice (EBLK) signed 26-year old American-Zimbabwean center Stephanie Mavunga (191cm-83kg-95, college: Ohio State, agency: LBM Management) for upcoming 2021-22 season. Mavunga is the second import player in the roster as Greek Artemis Spanou signed here earlier.
She played last season at Dynamo Kursk in Russian PBL league. In 12 games she had 8.9ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg. She helped them to make it to the Russian PBL final after they ended regular season as second best team. She also played 6 games in Euroleague where she recorded 7.3ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.0apg, 1.5spg and 1.7bpg.
Part of previous (2020) summer she spent at Sky in WNBA. But in 6 games she averaged just 1.7ppg and 2.2rpg in 2020 season. The other team she played shortly was Fever in WNBA. In 5 games she got 5.0ppg and 4.0rpg in 2020 season.
Three years ago she was drafted by Indiana Fever (WNBA) in second round (14th overall).
The former Ohio State standout is in her fourth season in pro basketball.
Mavunga was also a member of USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team back in 2015 and previously for U16 National Team in 2011.
Mavunga represented USA at the Panamerican Games in Toronto (Canada) six years ago. Mavunga's team won Silver and her stats at that event were 5 games: 5.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.0apg.
She has played previously professionally also in France (Gazelles).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she won WNBA Eastern Conference championship title in 2020. Mavunga was voted Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Player of the Year in 2019.
