Ottawa welcomes back Adel

Deng Adel

Ottawa Blackjacks (CEBL) landed 28-year old Sudanese-Australian 201cm forward Deng Adel (college: Louisville). He is the second import player in the roster as Canadian Rueadale Williams signed here earlier.
It is actually his comeback to Blackjacks as he has played here before. He played recently at Brisbane Bullets in Australian NBL league. In 10 games he averaged 4.7ppg and 1.5rpg last season. The last season season he played at Boulazac Basket (ProB) in French league.
Adel is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Adel has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Balkan), Denmark (Bakken), France, NBA (Brooklyn Nets), NBA G League (Maine Celtics, Cleveland Charge, Raptors 905 Mississauga and Long Island Nets) and NBA Summer League (Houston Rockets).
Among many awards he was voted to USBasket.com All-CEBL Honorable Mention back in 2022.
He graduated from University of Louisville in 2018 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
