Geraldine Robert agreed terms with Nice

Cavigal Nice Basket 06 (LFB) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 37-year old former French international power forward Geraldine Robert (183-80). She has a double citizenship as she also holds Gabonese passport. Robert played most recently at Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration Basket in the LFB. In 32 games she recorded 10.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.8spg last season. She helped them to win the Supercup. Robert also played 2 games in Eurocup where she averaged 11.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.5spg.
The previous (15-16) season Robert played at Villeneuve D'Ascq. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and she had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 21 games she got 6.6ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.1apg. Robert contributed to her team making it to the semifinals. She also played 9 games in Euroleague where she got 5.1ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.0apg. Robert also played 6 games in Eurocup where she got 5.3ppg and 2.7rpg.
Among other achievements Robert received Afrobasket.com All-African Championships 1st Team award in 2015.
She represented France at the African Championships in Yaounde (Cameroon) two years ago. Her stats at that event were 8 games: Score-1 (20.4ppg), Reb-2 (12.5rpg), Assists-2 (4.6apg), Steals-2 (3.9spg), Blocks-4 (1.1bpg), FGP: 50.5%, 3PT: 23.1%, FT: 64.9%.
Robert has played also professionally in Italy (CA Romagna and Umbertide) and Poland (Basket Gdynia).
She is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Nice.
