Ivory Coast - Tunisia 75-78 Tunisia defended African Championship title. They edged Ivory Coast in the Final game in Kigali tonight. Tunisia survived a 78-75 thriller to clinch the trophy. Tunisia grabbed a 25-18 lead at the start to prove their ambitions for the title defence. They added a 22-16 rally in the second period for a 13-point halftime advantage. Ivory Coast meanwhile came into the game with a 25-18 run in the third period as Souleyman Diabate (183-PG-87, agency: Interperformances) scored for 59-63. The continental newcomers adjusted well, running some good halfcourt sets throughout the game and edged the opening quarter 15-14.
