#1. Camron Reece (6'7''-F, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Finland) contributed to Kataja's victory against the sixth-ranked Vilpas (7-11) 107-96 in the Finnish Korisliiga in Saturday night's game. He recorded 6 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks in 16 minutes. Joensuun Kataja Basket (8-11) is placed fourth in Places 1-6 group. This year Reece averages 3.6ppg and 4.7rpg in 14 games he played so far.
#2. Experienced Nigel Jones (6'7''-G/F-1990, played in 2013-13, plays in Belize) could not help Belize City Defenders (6-5) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance Belize City Defenders was defeated 73-65 in a derby game by the leading Hurricanes. Jones scored 11 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Jones has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 23.4ppg, 10.9rpg, 3.3apg, 1.6bpg and 1.6spg. Worth to mention Jones played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
#3. Jarin Hilson (6'0''-PG-1995, played in 2018-19, currently in the TBL) was not able to help the West Virginia Grind in their game against the Lebanon Leprechauns (4-11) in the TBL, despite his good performance last Friday. He scored 12 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 30 minutes. But the West Virginia Grind (#5) lost 123-128 on the road to the Leprechauns. Hilson has very impressive stats this year 17.1ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.8apg and 1.2spg in 10 games.
#4. Markel Williams (6'2''-G-1997, played in 2021-22, plays pro in the TBL) led Coastal Georgia Buccaneers to a 3-point victory against the Raleigh Firebirds (12-7) 125-122 in the TBL in Friday night's game. He scored 14 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Williams' first season in pro basketball. The Coastal Georgia Buccaneers have 8-7 record this season. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This season Williams averages 9.3ppg and 3.5rpg.
#5. Ngor Barnaba (6'9''-G-1996, played in 2019-20, plays in Uganda) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams City Oilers (0-3) in their game against SLAC (1-3) in the Basketball Africa League. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 24 minutes. City Oilers was crushed96-68 at home by the higher-ranked (#5) SLAC. So far City Oilers lost all three games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the Basketball Africa League Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Barnaba averages 3.7ppg and 4.0rpg in three games.
