We bring you last week's top former Cowboys players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Khalil Brantley (19 points), Markel Brown (23 points), and Caleb Asberry (26 points).

#1. Khalil Brantley, a 6'1'' point guard who recently graduated from OK State and now plays professionally in Slovenia, showcased his skills in a remarkable performance leading Krka to a resounding 97-74 victory over Ilirija in the Slovenian Liga OTP banka. In the highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 teams, Brantley's stellar showing earned him the MVP title of the game. Scoring 19 points, making 4 assists, and tallying 3 steals in just 30 minutes of play, he demonstrated his exceptional talent on the court, especially noteworthy as this is his inaugural season in professional basketball. Krka Novo Mesto, currently holding the top spot in the league with a record of 26-1, extended their winning streak to 26 games with this triumph. Brantley's all-around performance against Ilirija, where he not only scored but also contributed with 2 rebounds and 4 assists, was crucial in securing the victory, further establishing his reputation as a champion. His impressive season averages of 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, the second-best in the league, highlight his significant impact and skill level as a finalist in the Slovenian Liga OTP banka.

#2. Experienced champion Markel Brown, a 6'4'' shooting guard who is 34 years old and an alumnus of the Cowboys from 2014, currently plays professionally in Italy. In a recent game last Monday, Brown, despite his very good performance, was unable to lead Trieste (13-16) to victory. Trieste suffered a 90-75 defeat on the road against the second-ranked Brescia. Brown showcased his skills by scoring 23 points, leading all scorers in the game. Additionally, he contributed 4 rebounds and 6 assists during his 34 minutes on the court. Even though Brown put up an impressive performance against Brescia, his team ultimately fell short. Throughout this season, Brown has maintained solid statistics, averaging 12.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

#3. Caleb Asberry, a 26-year-old 6'3'' guard who graduated from Oklahoma State in 2023 and currently plays professionally in New Zealand, showed his prowess on the basketball court by leading the Southland Sharks to a resounding 104-90 victory over the closely-ranked Saints in the New Zealand National Basketball League. Asberry, who has been making a name for himself in his third season in professional basketball, was named the MVP of the game after an outstanding performance. In the thrilling matchup between two top 4 ranked teams, Asberry notched an impressive 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists in just 34 minutes of play. His stellar contributions were instrumental in securing the win for the Sharks, who have been on a winning streak with this victory marking their seventh consecutive triumph. Asberry's remarkable display of talent and skill exemplified the characteristics of a true champion on the court. Throughout the season, Asberry has consistently delivered exceptional performances, boasting impressive averages of 21.8 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game. His remarkable stats reflect his impact on the court and his determination to excel as a basketball player and lead his team to success.

#4. In a recent Spanish Liga Endesa match on Tuesday night, the 6'11'' center and Cowboys alumnus Yankuba Sima, who plays professionally in Spain, contributed to Valencia Basket's triumph over Zaragoza, one of the league's weaker teams with a 9-24 record. Despite playing only 3 minutes, Sima managed to score 4 crucial points that helped Valencia Basket secure a 98-86 victory. This win further solidified Valencia Basket's position as the fifth-ranked team in the league, with only four games remaining in the Regular Season. With each game now carrying significant importance, Sima's performance against Zaragoza proved vital in propelling his team towards success. His modest season averages of 3.1 points per game and 1.9 rebounds per game highlight his consistent contribution to the team. By scoring 4 points in the match against Zaragoza, Yankuba Sima played a pivotal role in his team's victory, earning him the title of champion of the game.

#5. Jeffrey Carroll, a 6'6'' forward/guard who graduated from Oklahoma State in 2018 and received the All-Big 12 Third Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Germany. Recently, he showcased his skills by leading Phoenix Hagen to a crucial victory over Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA league. In a highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 teams, Carroll's stellar performance was instrumental in his team's 83-78 win. Scoring 12 points, securing 4 rebounds, and providing 3 assists in just 21 minutes of play, Carroll proved himself as a key player for Phoenix Hagen. This victory further solidified his reputation as a champion on the court. Despite it being his first season with the team, Carroll has been maintaining impressive stats throughout the season, averaging 12.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

#6. Israeli champion Daniel Guetta, who stands at 6'2'' and is a Cowboys alumnus from 2026, currently plays professionally in Israel. In a recent match, Guetta and his team, Bnei Hertzeliya, faced a tough challenge against Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Despite his efforts, Guetta could not lead his team to victory, as Maccabi Tel-Aviv emerged as the champion with a dominating 62-point lead, ending the game 137-75. During the game, Guetta managed to contribute 2 points and secure 2 rebounds in his 9 minutes on the court. Although he put up an impressive performance individually, he acknowledged that Monday's game was not one of his best. His overall season average stands at 2.0 points per game. While Guetta may not have been able to secure a win in this particular match, his determination and skill as a finalist in Israeli basketball are evident in his consistent efforts on the court.

#7. Jawun Evans, a 6'1'' point guard who graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2017 at the age of 29, currently plays professional basketball in Mexico. Recently, he made a significant impact in a crucial game where his team, Pioneros de Los Mochis, emerged victorious over the second-ranked Frayles de Guasave with a narrow 90-88 win in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico on Saturday night. Despite scoring only 3 points, Evans displayed his versatility by grabbing 6 rebounds and distributing 4 assists in 26 minutes of play. His crucial 3 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists against Frayles not only contributed to the team's success but also highlighted his capabilities as a finalist. Throughout this season, Evans has maintained an average of 6.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, showcasing his consistent performance on the court. His dedication and skills truly exemplify his status as a champion in the realm of professional basketball.
