#1. James Batemon, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from LMU in 2019 and previously played at N. Dakota St. where he was honored with the All-Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Year award in 2017, currently competes professionally in Spain. Recently, he was unable to assist Hiopos Forca Lleida (12-22) in their match last Friday, where they suffered a significant 116-95 defeat on the road against the formidable UCAM (#3). Despite the loss, Batemon managed to contribute 10 points in 18 minutes of play. The Regular Season has concluded, with Batemon showcasing a remarkable individual season marked by impressive statistics - averaging 15.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. In a game against Murcia, he displayed his skills by scoring 10 points and providing 1 assist, although his team ultimately fell short of securing a victory.
#2. Mohamed Kone, a 6'2'' guard and 27-year-old Beavers alumnus from the class of 2023, previously played at N.Dakota St. between 2018 and 2020 before embarking on his professional basketball career in Australia. Recently, he led the Illawarra Hawks 2nd team to a notable victory against the 16th-ranked Bandits with a score of 111-102 in the Australian NBL One, the second division league, on Saturday night. In an impressive display of skill, Kone contributed 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in 36 minutes of play, showcasing his talent despite being only in his third season in professional basketball. The Illawarra Hawks 2nd team, with a record of 10-1, currently holds the third position in the East group, earning their eighth consecutive win. Kone's stellar performance against the Albury W.B. not only helped secure the victory for his team but also highlighted his prowess on the court. With an average of 15.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.4 steals per game, Kone is having an exceptional season individually, further solidifying his status as a champion in the game.
