#1. Darnell Edge, a 6'2'' point guard who graduated from FDU in 2019 and earned the All-NEC All-Tournament MVP award that year, currently plays professionally in Poland. In a recent game, despite his exceptional performance, Edge was unable to lead Dziki Warszawa to victory as they were narrowly defeated 78-76 by the leading team Legia in a closely contested derby match. During the game, Edge showcased his skills by scoring 15 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists in 31 minutes of play. This game marked Dziki Warszawa's first loss after a streak of five consecutive victories. Throughout the season, Edge has been a standout player with impressive statistics, averaging 16.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the 19 games he has played so far. Despite the loss in the recent game, Edge's consistent high-level performance highlights his importance as a key player for Dziki Warszawa.
#2. Experienced Czech Republic champion, Kamil Svrdlik, a 6'9'' center aged 39 and a Knights alumnus from 2011 currently playing professionally in the Czech Republic, led Pardubice to a convincing victory against the third-ranked Brno with a score of 90-75 in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL during Monday night's game. In a display of his skills, he scored 15 points, secured 8 rebounds, and made 3 assists in just 29 minutes on the court. This game was highly anticipated as it featured two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-8, and BK KVIS Pardubice, with a record of 27-9, currently holds the second position in the standings. Svrdlik has been an integral part of the team for 11 seasons, consistently showcasing his talent and leadership as a finalist. This season, he maintains an average of 5.8 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game across 46 games, highlighting his enduring impact and contribution to the team's success.
#3. Grant Singleton, a 6'0'' point guard who graduated from FDU in 2023 and received the All-NEC Second Team award, currently plays professionally in Bulgaria. In a recent game, Singleton, despite his notable performance, could not assist Lokomotiv Plovdiv in securing a victory against the second-ranked Balkan. Singleton showcased his skills by contributing 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 25 minutes of gameplay. Throughout the season, Singleton has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in 30 appearances.
#4. Ahmed Barba-Bey, a 6'3'' guard and Knights alumnus from the class of 2025, is currently playing professionally in Australia. In the recent game, despite his stellar performance, the ninth-placed Sydney City Comets (6-7) were unable to secure a victory as they were defeated 87-62 by the lower-ranked (#10) Sharks in the East group. Barba-Bey, the team's top scorer, contributed 18 points and 6 rebounds in just 26 minutes of play. His impressive performance is noteworthy, especially considering that this is his debut season in professional basketball. Although Barba-Bey showcased his skills by scoring 18 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and providing 1 assist against the Sutherland Sharks, his team ultimately suffered a loss. Despite the outcome of the game, Barba-Bey has been having a standout season individually, boasting impressive averages of 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game across 13 appearances.
#5. In the recent game, Malik Miller, a 6'9'' forward who graduated from FDU in 2018 and currently plays professionally in Australia, showcased a commendable performance for the struggling Wyndham Devils (2-8). Despite his remarkable efforts, the team suffered a significant 104-86 defeat against the higher-ranked Venom (#8) on the road. Miller, the standout player, led the scoring with 26 points and contributed 8 rebounds during his 38 minutes on the court. In a previous game against Warrandyte, Miller once again displayed his prowess by scoring 26 points, securing 8 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. Despite his stellar performance, Wyndham Devils were unable to secure a victory, ending up on the losing side. Throughout the season, Malik Miller has maintained an impressive individual performance, boasting high statistics with an average of 18.6 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game over the course of 10 games. His consistent contributions make him a key player for the team, even in the face of challenging outcomes like the recent defeat against the Venom.
