Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Giants players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Tristan Forsyth (6'10''-F-1998, played in 2018-19, plays pro in Australia) could not help Geelong United (6-15) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance the seventh-placed Geelong United (6-15) was defeated 85-73 on the road by the much lower-ranked Sabres (#18) in the South group. Forsyth was the top scorer with 34 points. He also added 9 rebounds in 38 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Forsyth has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 22.3ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg.
#2. Conner Jackson (6'3''-G-2000, played in 2020-22, plays in the TBL) was not able to help the Long Beach Blue Waves (4-7) in their last game. Despite Jackson's very good performance the Long Beach Blue Waves (#3) lost 97-103 in San Diego to the Sharks. He recorded 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Jackson's first season in pro basketball. It was Blue Waves' seventh consecutive loss in a row. Jackson has relatively good stats this year 13.4ppg and 4.0rpg in eight games he played so far.
#3. Experienced Dida Pereira (6'8''-C/F-1992, played in 2015-16, currently in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Santos (1-6) in their game against Tatui (5-2) in the Brazilian CBB (second division). It was not his best game last Thursday. Pereira scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes. The bottom-ranked Santos was defeated 66-51 at home by the second-ranked Tatui. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Pereira averages 7.0ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.0apg.
#4. Bill Borekambi (6'7''-C-1992, played in 2011-13, plays pro in Germany) led SBB Baskets Wolmirstedt to a victory over the sixth-ranked Rist Wedel (13-13) crushing them 104-76 in the German ProB (third division) on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Borekambi scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. SBB Baskets Wolmirstedt (21-5) is placed second in North group. It was his team's 12th consecutive victory in a row. It's Borekambi's fourth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg and 4.1rpg in 27 games.
