Tearra Banks (6'2''-C-1995, played in 2013-17, plays pro in Puerto Rico) contributed to an Atenienses de Manati's victory against the league outsider Yauco (3-9) 87-75 in the Puerto Rican BSNF on Sunday night. She recorded 6 points in only 14 minutes. Atenienses de Manati (5-6) is placed sixth in the BSNF. It's Banks' first season with the team. This year Banks averages 6.0ppg and 3.0rpg.
#2. Arielle Gonzalez-Varner (6'1''-F-1998, played in 2016-20, plays in Puerto Rico) faced previously mentioned Tearra Banks in the Puerto Rican BSNF last game. Gonzalez-Varner. She could not help Yauco (3-9) to beat Atenienses (5-6). Gonzalez-Varner did not impress in that game on Sunday. She recorded only 2 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The bottom-ranked Yauco lost 75-87 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) Atenienses. It was Yauco's sixth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Gonzalez-Varner's first season with the team. This year Gonzalez-Varner averages 2.9ppg and 1.8rpg in 12 games she played so far. She is a naturalized Puerto Rican.
