Niigata Albirex adds Igbanu to their roster

Niigata Albirex (B1 League) added to their roster 26-year old Nigerian power forward Martins Igbanu (203cm-107kg-1997, college: Tulsa) for new 2023-24 season. Igbanu played last season at BC Boncourt Red Team in Swiss SBL league. In 24 games he was league's second best scorer with impressive 22.5ppg and averaged 7.7rpg and 2.0apg. A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Caen Basket Calvados in French NM1 where in 26 games he had 10.0ppg and 5.0rpg in that year. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Igbanu also played for SPO Rouen in French ProB. In 8 games he recorded 9.1ppg and 4.5rpg in that year. He also spent pre-season at Denain Voltaire (ProB) in France.
Igbanu has played also professionally in Serbia (KK Mladost MaxBet Zemun).
He was voted All-AAC Sixth Man of the Year back in 2020.
Igbanu graduated from University of Tulsa in 2020 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
